Acting With Passion

Bad Acting is Easy.
Good Acting Takes Guts.

No one wakes up one day and says, 'I want to be a great violinist' and suddenly becomes a musician in a professional orchestra. Great art takes focus, training, and practice, weather it's as a writer, musician, or even athlete. It doesn't happen overnight and you aren't just 'born with it'.

AWM Studio will teach you the fundamentals and techniques of you need to do good work in auditions, on-stage, and on-camera. The best part is this isn't just useful for actors. It's vital for all walks of life.  From interviews to pitch meetings.

Acting doesn't teach you to become someone else. It teaches you to express yourself fully. To take space confidently.
To find the bravery to tell your story and be seen. To trust yourself. If you're like most of us, you can feel that you're holding yourself back. Learn how to free yourself to be the star you know you were meant to be.

Ready for the spotlight? Tell us about yourself and your goals and we will put you on a path to realize your dreams.

'How do i get started as an actor?'

1. Learn the craft. Acting is a skill that must be learned. You wouldn't audition for a band without knowing how to play, right?

2. Start Auditioning. We will help you find auditions, choose headshots, get a demo-reel, and book work.

3. Get Signed. When you're ready we'll help you find an agent that is right for you. Agents only make commission. If you are ever asked to pay for classes or photos in order to get signed, run the other way.

Beware Of Scams

There are companies who take advantage of new actors & models. Any promise of representation or work is illegal and a scam. Places that tell you they will sign you after you take classes or headshots with them or an affiliate should not be trusted.

Real agents only get paid commission on work you book. That's why you need to be a trained & experienced actor to get signed. An agent only wants you if they think you can book acting jobs.

Acting With Max Studio

"Max has an amazing power on screen, while still remaining natural. I reference the work he did with me on Dot Ave, even today when I need to hone a performance to be laser-sharp and realistic. He’s a great actor!"

– Ethan Frank

Our mission is to make Baltimore actors better, and bring more production to the state of Maryland by showing off the caliber of artists in our community.

"Theft of Imagination ends up relying overly on the charisma of Mr. Hambleton and his character's outside-the-box thinking."

-Show Showdown.

"Revolver (actor) Max Hambleton makes his vengeful psychotic and recovering user seem like two different actors"

–  LA Times

"I've watched Max work as an actor, a director, and a coach. His ability to communicate and build confidence in others is like none other."

– Austin Pendelton, HB Studios.

"Max Hambleton has no problems portraying the bossy, bullying Jessie"

–The James Wegg Review for Rubber Duckie
